Welcome to the Founding Brotherhood
You were invited into this pilot because I know something about your character.
I believe you are a man of integrity—someone capable of being honest, honoring the men around him, and contributing to something that is still being forged.
The Bulletproof Gentleman is a twelve-week men’s development experience built around one central idea:
Become the man whose presence changes the room.
This is not about fixing broken men.
It is about recognizing where life has quietly pulled you away from the man you want to be—and intentionally forging your Physical, Sexual, Relational, Mental, and Legacy Edges.
You are not entering a finished program as a passive customer.
You are entering the Founding Brotherhood as both a participant and a trusted pilot member. Your experience, honesty, questions, and feedback will help shape what The Bulletproof Gentleman becomes before its wider launch.
Your First Five Steps
Complete these steps before our Opening Call.
1. Review the Pilot Schedule
Open the Pilot Schedule page in the Community sidebar.
Our Opening Call is:
Tuesday, September 22
6:30–8:00 PM Mountain Time
After that, new curriculum will be released on Mondays. We will work through that material together during the following Tuesday’s live Brotherhood call.
Every call will be recorded and added to The Brotherhood library.
2. Read the Brotherhood Agreements
This Brotherhood only works if men are willing to be honest without turning honesty into performance.
By participating, you agree to the following:
Confidentiality
What another man shares inside The Brotherhood stays inside The Brotherhood.
You may discuss your own experience outside this space, but you may not share another man’s story, identity, struggle, relationship, or personal information without his explicit permission.
Honesty over image
You do not need to impress anyone here.
Speak from where you actually are—not where you think you should be.
Progress over perfection
You will not do every week perfectly.
Stay engaged. Return when you drift. Keep moving.
Ownership over excuses
Context matters, but ownership creates change.
We will tell the truth about what happened while remaining responsible for what happens next.
Brotherhood over judgment
Listen before advising. Ask before coaching.
Do not shame, diagnose, ridicule, or weaponize another man’s vulnerability.
Action over information
Insight matters only when it changes how you live.
Each week will ask you to take what you see and do something with it.
We will not agree on everything.
Agreement is not required.
Respect is.
3. Introduce Yourself
Open the Introductions channel and create a new post.
Share
Your name
Where you live
What you spend most of your time doing
Why you said yes to this pilot
What you want from these twelve weeks
One thing the Brotherhood should know about you
You do not need to tell your entire life story.
Give the other men enough to begin knowing who is in the room with them.
Then read the other introductions and welcome each man into the Brotherhood.
4. Set Up Your Notifications
T
For the easiest access to The Brotherhood, download the free Kajabi app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Sign in using the same email address you used when joining the pilot. The Bulletproof Gentleman and The Brotherhood should appear in your library.
Inside the app, allow notifications and confirm that Community notifications are turned on so you do not miss:
- New curriculum releases
- Call reminders
- Schedule updates
- Brotherhood announcements
- Mentions and replies
- New conversations inside the Community
The app will also make it easier to participate in Brotherhood conversations, share Forged Moments, and access curriculum or recordings from your phone.
I recommend using a computer for longer written exercises such as the Five Edge Baseline, but the app will be the easiest way to remain connected throughout the week.
If The Bulletproof Gentleman or The Brotherhood does not appear after signing in, contact Josh directly.
Technology should support your participation, not become the reason you miss it.
5. Confirm Your Access
Before the Opening Call, make sure you can access:
- The Brotherhood Community
- The Pilot Schedule
- The Introductions channel
- The weekly curriculum area
- The call information
If anything is missing, broken, confusing, or difficult to find, contact Josh directly.
This is part of the pilot. If the technology creates friction, I need to know about it.
How the First Week Works
The Week 1 curriculum will become available on:
Monday, September 21
You are welcome to look through it before the Opening Call, but nothing needs to be completed beforehand.
During the Opening Call on Tuesday, September 22, I will introduce the Week 1 experience and explain how to approach the Five Edge Baseline and
Catch the Drift.
You will then have the remainder of the week to complete the Week 1 curriculum before our first weekly coaching call:
Week 1 Live Call: Tuesday, September 29
6:30–8:00 PM Mountain Time
That call will focus on Drift and what you discovered through the Week 1 work.
The Opening Call
Our first gathering is not a regular weekly coaching call.
It is where we will:
- Meet the other men
- Establish how we will operate together
- Talk about what brought each of us here
- Clarify what you want from the next twelve weeks
- Review how the curriculum and calls will work
- Establish expectations for participation and feedback
- Introduce the Week 1 curriculum
- Begin creating the kind of room where honest work can happen
Come ready to participate.
You do not need to prepare answers, complete the Baseline, or prove that you belong here.
Just show up honestly.
Week 1: Catch the Drift
Week 1 is about recognizing Drift.
Drift rarely happens through one dramatic failure.
It happens gradually—through responsibility, routine, distraction, self-sacrifice, neglected standards, and promises that become easier to break.
The Week 1 curriculum includes two central tools:
The Five Edge Baseline
The Five Edge Baseline will give you an honest snapshot of where you currently stand across your:
- Physical Edge
- Sexual Edge
- Relational Edge
- Mental Edge
- Legacy Edge
This is not a grade, diagnosis, or comparison with anyone else.
Answer as the man you are today—not the man you used to be, the man other people think you are, or the man you intend to become.
We will return to the Baseline at the end of the pilot so you can see what actually changed.
Catch the Drift
After identifying where you currently stand, Catch the Drift will help you examine how you arrived there.
The Baseline asks:
Where am I now?
Catch the Drift asks:
How did I get here?
Together, these tools establish the starting point for the twelve weeks ahead.
Complete both tools after the Opening Call and before the Week 1 live coaching call on September 29.
What to Expect Each Week
Each Monday, the new curriculum will be released.
It may include:
- Short teaching videos
- A reflection or assessment
- A practical exercise
- One deliberate action to take into your life
- A Forged Moment to share with the Brotherhood
The curriculum is designed to take less than one hour.
Tuesday’s live Brotherhood call will last 75–90 minutes.
Your total weekly commitment should remain under two and a half hours.
The live conversations are a central part of this experience. Make every reasonable effort to attend.
If you cannot be present, watch the recording and remain involved with that week’s work.
Do not disappear because you missed a call, fell behind, or had a difficult week.
Return.
Drift thrives in silence. Brotherhood makes returning easier.
Forged Moments
Throughout the pilot, you will be asked to share Forged Moments.
When I had CrossFit Alluvium, we did Bright Spots Friday to celebrate wins...A Forged Moment is a point at which you recognize Drift and choose to act differently.Â
It does not need to be dramatic.
It might be:
- Keeping a promise you would normally break
- Having a conversation you have been avoiding
- Returning to your body after neglecting it
- Showing up differently with your partner or family
- Choosing intention instead of running on momentum
- Admitting something honestly instead of protecting your image
These moments are how the work becomes part of your life.
Your Role in the Pilot
I need more than encouragement or polite approval.
I need the truth.
As you move through the pilot, pay attention to:
- What is clear
- What is confusing
- What feels useful
- What feels unnecessary
- What produces meaningful conversation
- What leads to action
- What does not work
- What is missing
- Where the technology creates friction
- Whether the weekly workload is realistic
You will have opportunities to provide feedback throughout the twelve weeks.
Do not protect my feelings by withholding something that could strengthen the program.
Respectful honesty is part of your contribution to the Founding Brotherhood.
Before the Opening Call
Make sure you have:
- Reviewed the Pilot Schedule
- Read and accepted the Brotherhood Agreements
- Posted your introduction
- Welcomed the other men
- Enabled your notifications
- Confirmed that you can access the Community and curriculum area
The Week 1 curriculum will already be available, but nothing needs to be completed before we gather.
One Final Thought
You do not need to arrive here with everything figured out.
You only need to arrive willing to tell the truth, stay engaged, take ownership, and act on what you discover.
The next twelve weeks are not about becoming someone else.
They are about becoming more intentional about the man you are already capable of being.
Welcome to the Founding Brotherhood.
Gentlemen—Forge Forward.
